He currently serves as the Deputy Director General of Georgia’s National Center for Intellectual Property, as well as Associate Professor of Intellectual Property Law at the Tbilisi State University on Economic Relations.After obtaining degrees in both Engineering from the Byelorussian Polytechnic Institute in 1971 and Intellectual Property from Moscow’s Central Institute in 1979, he earned his PhD in Juridical Sciences and Civil Law from the Tbilisi State University in 1995. He has served as Head of the Patent Department at the Institute for Scientific and Technical Information in Tbilisi, where he managed patent and licensing activity in Georgia.

Dr. Levan Khositashvili, PhD, Consultant
Dr. Levan Khositashvili has served as the chief ecologist and research scientist for the Radiology and Ecology Institute in the Radiology and Modulation Department of Georgia, and has published 35 articles relating to his field. Dr. Khositashvili earned his bachelor’s degree at the Komarove School of Physics and Mathematics in Georgia. In addition, Dr. Khositashvili has earned the Qualification of Technologist in ecology, and also studied a full course of the Technologist of Chemical Pharmaceutical Industry, earning him a Specialty designation. Dr. Khositashvili was awarded his PhD of the Pharmaceutical Sciences after becoming a candidate at Tbilisi Technological Institute, where he specialized in pharmacist technology. He earned his PhD in 2006 from I. Qutgeladze Pharmaceutical Institute.
